Location

Burrastow Cottage is located adjacent to Burrastow House Guesthouse, a scenic 45 minute drive from the Lerwick Ferry Terminal or an hour and a half from Sumburgh Airport.

Burrastow Cottage offers a remote retreat away from it all, so expect big dramatic skies, tranquility and scenic coastal walks.

The nearest shop and Post Office is located in Walls (Waas), a short five minute drive away. They stock a wide range of local produce, and you’ll always be sure of a friendly welcome.  On Friday mornings you’ll find tea and coffee, soup and cakes being served in the local kirk (Church).

For some local exploring you can find the Jamieson’s Spinning Mill and Morwenna Garrick Textiles Studio in nearby Sandness.  A little further along, but still on the west side, is Britain’s most northerly RNLI lifeboat station in the village of Aith.
